Girls Nationals to Return to Salt Lake City in 2027
Salt Lake City, UT | Girls Nationals Committee and Utah Youth Rugby are proud to announce that the Girls Rugby National Championships will return to Salt Lake City, Utah June 4-5, 2027, with Utah Youth Rugby (UYR) once again serving as the host organization. Building on the outstanding success of the 2026 Girls Nationals, the 2027 event will be held at Zions Bank Stadium, providing a premier setting worthy of the national stage.

"The 2026 event was an outstanding success by every measure, and Utah Youth Rugby proved to be exceptional partners and hosts. Returning to Salt Lake City in 2027 gives us the foundation to take this event to the next level."
“Hosting Girls Nationals for a second consecutive year is more than an honor for Utah Youth Rugby, it’s an opportunity to show young women across the country that they belong on the biggest stages in sports,” said Alex Nunnally, Chairman of Utah Youth Rugby. “In 2026, we witnessed incredible athleticism, determination, and a community come together to celebrate these athletes. In 2027, we’re building on that momentum to create an even greater experience. ‘Brave Looks Like Her’ represents every girl who has stepped onto the pitch, challenged expectations, and inspired the next generation to believe they can do the same. We’re proud to welcome the nation back to Utah.”
USA Youth and High School Executive Director Giovanni Vaglietti added, “Brave Looks Like Her’ isn’t just a theme — it’s what we see every time a young athlete takes the field and competes at the highest level. Salt Lake City and Zions Bank Stadium give Girls Nationals the home it deserves — a world-class venue that matches the caliber of competition on the field and sets a new standard for what this event can be. With the foundation laid in 2026, the 2027 Girls Nationals in Salt Lake City is poised to be bigger and better in every way. Notably, the tournament dates have been moved to June 4–5 to open the door for greater participation, giving more clubs across the country the opportunity to compete for a spot on the national stage. The key stakeholders — Girls Nationals, Utah Youth Rugby, USA YHS Rugby, and USA Rugby — will work together to expand the field of competition, enhance the event experience, and continue elevating the profile of girls' high school rugby nationally.
The tournament stands as one of the premier events on the calendar, and everyone is committed to ensuring that every athlete who earns her way to Salt Lake City experiences a national championship worthy of that achievement.
